Books & Butterflies Daycare's Story
Hello,
My name is Kasey Mix. I am a mother of three beautiful children. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and I have spent over ten years working in the Head Start program, which serves low income families with children aged 0 to 5 years. As my two oldest kids were growing up, I worked with the After School Programs, and I also coached on several of their sports teams. I have always had a deep love and appreciation for teaching children, and helping them grow. This led me to start a licensed daycare right here in my own home. I look forward to meeting you!
Mission Statement
The goal of Books & Butterflies Daycare is to allow children to develop their minds, bodies, and natural sense of curiosity through play by providing educational activities, materials, and equipment.
A developmental learning approach, which is play-based, child-led, and open ended is the foundation of our curriculum.
In addition, I will partner with families to make my home an extension of their home. This is a place where families and children can feel safe, loved, and cared for.
